The visitor’s center is on your right and you can find lots of information and things to do in Saratoga. Across the street is the entrance to Congress Park. It is worth taking a tour of the sculptures in the park. The park was designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead in 1875.
The large building in the center of the park is the Canfield Casino which was built by Saratoga’s most famous Irish immigrant, John Morrissey in 1872. It was first built as a gambling establishment but is now used as an event space.
It is also worth visiting the Saratoga Historical Museum located in the same building where they have wonderful exhibits detailing the history of Saratoga and some great examples of the Gilded Age lifestyle from the turn of the 20th century.
